2nd update

Hello, Heres my update for mother and me. Ok excuse me if I misspell or say something off the wall, I'm a little medicated. Mother is also still medicated. Boy are we quite the pair. Mom is still recovering, I saw the cut its huge, but is healing well. She went to her Dr. on the 29th for a check up. She will still be laid up in a sling for four more weeks, bless her heart, love her so much. If she tries to use her bad arm I just tell her I'm calling Carolyn and she tells me to just stop it. I have to threaten her every now and again. Try keepin her out of the kitchen, yea right! She misses just being able to open a can. Took her out the day after Christmas, she was like a kid in the candy store for real. It was like having Christmas all over again, she loved those sales plus the drugs she was on didn't help, there was no reality for her. That cabin fever got the best of her. I"ll have to hold on to those car keys or she just might run away, how do you report grandma as a run away???? They'd more than likely find her in a kitchen somewhere. I went in for the port on the 29th also, seems mother and I book our appointment on the same days, she hasn't been able to go with me or me go with her, bummer. Miss Stacey was not needless to say up and ready to drive me at four like I asked. So I had to roll her out and that wasn't easy. I sure do appreciate her taking me though. Don't think she couldn't go to town without hitting the mall, yep I just waited in the car and hoped she would return soon HA HA. We were going to go to the Out back for lunch but they didn't open til 4:00PM go figure? The surgery went well I was out of recover by 9:30am. With drugs to boot, was I loopy for the whole day. They said I couldn't lay down for 12 hours what a long day it was. Thank the lord for pain meds.I also met the chemo DR at 1:40 along with my team Stacey,Cindy my sister in-law just drop the law cause she also my bestest friend. Miss Rachel my niece also was there, my little miss questioner, love her. Cindy took all the notes. Kendall little buddy Danielle was with us also, she kept me happy. Dr. Wadsworth is going to meet with the breast cancer Dr to see if we should do surgery first then chemo, or the other way around. I will go have a heart check on the 31, we all know how big my heart is now I'll really see how big it is. Plus there might be some gold in there. I'm selling it if they find gold, prices are really high right now. Ant guesses on how much my heart is worth, its priceless I already know. They are also going to do a PET Scan which will give them a overall picture of the whole body. To see if we are just dealing with the breast and nodes. Had a hard time last night sleeping I am pretty sore after they put a special box in my chest. I used frozen corn for a ice pack now it's cream corn. The port is all covered under the skin nothing hanging out. The nurses and the Dr seem great I think I'm in good hands. They even have a counselor for the kids so that they will be able to understand and ask any questions they may have. Chucks hanging in there a little on overload but I'm glad he's here for us. I seem to be on a journey for a while, God willing I'll stay healthy and strong throughout this process. The elders at church prayed and laid hands on me Sunday blessing me and the Dr's. The Pastor called right after the appointments to check on me, bless him. It is not enough to make friends; you must know how to keep them. When you make a new friend whose friendship you value and wish to keep, learn his idiosyncracies and respect them. Learn his little peculiarities of manner and bear with him. Force yourself to be conscious always of the fact that while he has faults of which you are aware, you have faults of which he is aware. The ideal friend overlooks these little things and looks only for the big.
Doubt and suspicion are fatal to friendship. A friend worth having is a friend worth trusting. In time of doubt there should be a frank explanation. A true friend will not listen to criticism from others regarding his friend; will never gossip about him; will protect him from slander; will refuse to hear or believe evil of him.
There should be absolute sincerity in friendship. If your friend has done something or said something of which you disapprove, go to him and talk to him about the matter. You are false to your friendship if you talk to others about it.
If you want to correct a friend for some mistake he has made, do so with all the grace and tact you would use in correcting a stranger. No one resents being corrected. It is the manner of the person who makes the correction that is usually resented. Your friend is certainly entitled to as much consideration as you show your acquaintances.
Too many of us feel that we can take liberties with our friends that we would not dare to take with strangers. Handle your friend's book as carefully as you would the book of a new acquaintance, more carefully than you would handle your own. Do not feel that because it is with your friend that you have an engagement that you can be half an hour late. Real friendship is founded on courtesy, kindness, and understanding.
