Update # 10

This is my second attempt to write out the thoughts that are rolling around in my head, not funny. I typed quite a bit then looked down and it was all gone.. Oh well sometimes you should always think twice, and this will be one of those times. I got a free one-night stay in Gig Harbor on December 30, not free but I got away. I got an infection in the right expander and it had to be removed. In ten weeks or so, it can be replaced if I decided to do that. It is disappointing, seems like I have had my share of disappointments. Come summer I hope I am ready to keep up with everyone. How many times can a body be opened, before it opens by itself? Kind of feel like the old Mervyn's Commercial OPEN OPEN OPEN!!!! That is what happening with me.

The girls are all OK and mouthy as ever. Kim is standing over me right now asking what do I think I'm doing?? Kim has a new job at Wells Fargo as a Teller and she loves it. Now everybody run out and get yourself or child an account referred by Kimberlee the Westside branch she'll be rewarded. Yea she already got me, Kendall and Charlee. She spends more time with me now that her hunny is long hauling. No more sleeping alone she gripes as much if not more than Chuck. Speaking of Chuck, he is a happy and warm in Yuma, Az. He is keeping himself busy putting up a privacy fence,
how much privacy does a man need????? He is already 2100 miles away.
Kendall is zooming right through her 11Th grade and is really into it, imagine that. Her grades are good. Charlee bit me on the finger.

That is for you Rachel Williams. Charlee is in Driver Ed, driving as if she owns the entire road even if you think it is yours. Lord help us all.
Grandma what can I say about Grandma, we so love her don't we??? She will start PT next week on her shoulder, hope it works out and she gets more motion, movement.

Carolyn made me the neatest thing with photos of my girls in it is super.

Took John, Kendall, Blake and Danielle up to Mt Rainier last weekend. I sat in the car for the most part with Lincoln(dog). They had some fun.... Got tired out having to walk up just to slide down. When I saw Blake bite it a few times, I settled for staying on pavement or in the car.

Went to visit Larry and his girls just after X-Mas it was nice to see them all, they have really grown up, Stephanie looks just like Grandma Joyce. Full of energy. Grandma Jean just made me a steak got to go!!!!!

1924: The Ethics of Friendship

1924: The Ethics of Friendship
It is not enough to make friends; you must know how to keep them. When you make a new friend whose friendship you value and wish to keep, learn his idiosyncracies and respect them. Learn his little peculiarities of manner and bear with him. Force yourself to be conscious always of the fact that while he has faults of which you are aware, you have faults of which he is aware. The ideal friend overlooks these little things and looks only for the big.
Doubt and suspicion are fatal to friendship. A friend worth having is a friend worth trusting. In time of doubt there should be a frank explanation. A true friend will not listen to criticism from others regarding his friend; will never gossip about him; will protect him from slander; will refuse to hear or believe evil of him.
There should be absolute sincerity in friendship. If your friend has done something or said something of which you disapprove, go to him and talk to him about the matter. You are false to your friendship if you talk to others about it.
If you want to correct a friend for some mistake he has made, do so with all the grace and tact you would use in correcting a stranger. No one resents being corrected. It is the manner of the person who makes the correction that is usually resented. Your friend is certainly entitled to as much consideration as you show your acquaintances.
Too many of us feel that we can take liberties with our friends that we would not dare to take with strangers. Handle your friend's book as carefully as you would the book of a new acquaintance, more carefully than you would handle your own. Do not feel that because it is with your friend that you have an engagement that you can be half an hour late. Real friendship is founded on courtesy, kindness, and understanding.
